Ceramic Balls for Sauna Heaters

The ceramic balls are made from a special porcelain based on mullite-corundum. This porcelain consists of 90% aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃). Imperial porcelain has a Mohs hardness of 9, making it second only to diamond. Its working temperature is 1650 °C. The heat capacity is comparable to that of jade, reaching up to 1.1 kJ/(kg·°C).
Thanks to these properties, the ceramic balls do not crack or change color even after prolonged exposure to cyclic temperature fluctuations.
